New tenants signal fresh start for Poulton’s Market Hall
5 January 2011
SEVEN new tenants have joined the line up at the Market Hall in Poulton following a re-brand at the centre and investment in a programme of improvements by the new landlords.
Yorkshire based Dransfield Properties Ltd bought the centre, previously known as The Village Walks, in August 2010.
Since then the company has invested in a number of key improvements at the town centre market hall and actively marketed the centre to encourage new tenants into the town.
The improvements to the entrance area and clearer signage and branding have helped create a more vibrant shopping area. When the company bought the Market Hall in August the centre was in need of investment and had ten empty units – now there are just three available.
The new tenants are: The Soap Fairy who have a lovely range of little luxuries, Goffers Sweet Shop, selling a great range of traditional sweets, The furniture store Furniture Solutions 4U, the fashion store Lolas, Cheeky Chops Too, selling baby and children’s occasion clothing, Modern iWare selling cut price glasses, and Brunt Bread who stock a delicious range of fresh baked products.
Louise Stubbs, from the Soap Fairy, said: “Poulton is a really nice place to shop and the Market Hall is in a fantastic location. We now have a great group of retailers here who are all really optimistic about being part of the regeneration of Poulton’s retail centre as a whole.
“From my own point of view I am really grateful to have this opportunity and the support to start my own business.”
Development Surveyor at Dransfield Properties, James Shepherd, said the company has worked hard with existing and new tenants to create a great retail line up for Poulton’s shoppers.
James added: “There is a real buzz at the Market Hall and we are attracting many more customers into the centre. Since taking over we have worked really hard to secure fully occupancy and we made it our priority to give the Market Hall a new look and freshen up the signage and branding.
“The Market Hall is in a great location in the town centre and we have built up a really impressive retail line up in a relatively short space of time.”
Dransfield Properties specialises in Market Town retail developments and also owns and manages developments in the market towns of Morpeth, Selby and Gainsborough. For further information about the company visit www.dransfield.co.uk
