The Sands Venue, Gainsborough, is set for expansion and taking 2265 sq ft of office space at Marshall’s Yard on a ten year lease to meet the needs of its growing team.

The Sands has a nationwide reputation as a premium live music venue and fine dining restaurant, attracting visitors from throughout the country and securing top name performers such as Courtney Pine and Cleo Laine.  Located in Gainsborough’s original town hall which dates back to 1908, the venue holds up to 208 guests, and has an exclusive VIP area for special guests and VIP members.

Up to 20 employees who work in The Sands’ booking office, marketing team and audio visual department will all be relocated to Marshall’s Yard, along with staff from the company’s latest nightclub venture – The State Club.   The club will open at the end of August in the former Toymaster store on Church Street, with a 1500 capacity, creating 40 new jobs.

The Sands team are promising that The State Club will bring a new era of clubbing to Gainsborough, with plans in to pull in big name DJs such as Judge Jules.

Marshall's Yard office lettings are being dealt with by the Lincoln office of Pygott and Crone on 01522 536777.

Luisa Cacioppo, Head of Media Production at The Sands said: “These are really exciting times for the Sands and for the people of Gainsborough who are set to benefit from a fantastic new nightclub of the highest specification.  We no longer have enough office accommodation to house our growing team and Marshall’s Yard provides the perfect opportunity to relocate.”

Will Downing of Pygott and Crone added:  “The commercial lettings at Marshall’s Yard are giving local companies the chance to expand their operations while remaining in a central and easily accessible location.  The speed of the lettings to date is clear evidence that Gainsborough is on the up and the whole town is reaping the rewards of the recent public and private investment.”
