New town centre apartments completed at Selby’s Market Cross

Further investment at Selby’s Market Cross shopping centre has delivered four well appointed, brand new apartments in the heart of the town.

Former office space above the Gowthorpe entrance at Market Cross has been transformed into new, one and two bedroom apartments – creating attractive living space overlooking Selby Abbey.

Dransfield Properties own and manages Market Cross Shopping Centre which the company bought in 2005, a number of major improvements have been made as well as the creation of new residential units, including the latest apartments to be released to the rental market.

A team of local builders, joiners and decorators have worked on the project over the last eight weeks and demand for viewings at the new apartments has already exceeded expectation. The new apartments are in a listed building at the front entrance to the centre.

The new development has delivered an investment worth £500,000 at the centre, giving a tired and unloved part of the town a new lease of life as well-appointed town centre living space.

Market Cross is anchored by Home Bargains, the company has just extended its lease on the Selby store by a further five years. Other tenants include Holland and Barrett, the Works and the popular bar and restaurant Barco Lounge.
