New Look Market Hall Celebrated with Charity Fun Day !

9 March 2011

Poulton's Market Hall was relaunched at the weekend with some great new shops and a visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Wyre Borough Council Cllr Russell and Christine Forsyth.

With music from local entertainers and even a visit from Blackpool FC’s manager Ian Holloway the charity fun day was a great success!

After a ribbon cutting at the entrance to the new look Market Hall the Mayor and Mayoress also cut a cake made specially for the occasion and praised the investment Dransfield Properties had brought to the town.

The civic party also officially opened the new fashion store Lol and Co owned by Lauren Riley at the Market Hall - previously known as The Village Walks.

James Shepherd, development surveyor for Dransfield Properties, the owners of The Market Hall, said: “It has been a very busy few months since we bought the centre in August last year and we are delighted to have some really great new retailers.

“Poulton is a wonderful place to shop and it was great to see so many people supporting local businesses and attending our relaunch event at the weekend."

The Market Hall houses a great range of retailers selling everything from ladies fashion to children’s clothing, confectionary and furniture. Stores are: Prime Cuts, The Souk, Victorian Arts and Crafts, Lol and Co, Pandora’s Box, Soap Fairy, Red Elephant, The Fish Plaice, Joseph Franks Hairdressing, Cheeky Chops Too, Modern Iware, Sarnies Café, Darbyshires Gas and Electrical, Goffers Sweet Shop, Furniture Solutions 4U.

Saturday's event was held to raise funds for  The Alzheimer Society and Brian House Children’s Hospice.
