Move on the cards for popular Fox Valley store
17 July 2025
Fox Valley’s popular Card Factory store is relocating this summer as part of a major investment in the north Sheffield shopping centre.
Card Factory – the UK’s leading specialist retailer of greeting cards, gifts, and celebration essentials – has been a valued part of the Fox Valley retail line-up since the centre first opened in June 2016.
The store currently trades next to Costa Coffee, alongside other key retailers such as Home Bargains, Iceland, and Aldi. It will soon be moving to a new home in the former JoJo Maman Bébé unit, located in the centre’s vibrant piazza area, next to Pavers and Greggs.
The move forms part of an exciting development that will bring a brand-new Marks & Spencer Foodhall to Fox Valley. The new M&S store is set to be built on the site currently occupied by Card Factory and the adjacent temporary car park.
Plans for the M&S Foodhall – covering 24,000 sq ft with a 16,000 sq ft sales area – were submitted to Sheffield City Council earlier this month.
Card Factory’s new unit will be similar in size to the existing store and will continue to stock its full range of great-value cards, gifts, wrapping paper, and party supplies.
Work on the store’s new fit-out is due to begin at the end of July, with the new store expected to open by the end of August. The store will remain open to customers throughout the transition.
James Shepherd, Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, which owns and manages Fox Valley said: “Card Factory is a fantastic Yorkshire brand, and we’re delighted to be working with the team to relocate their Fox Valley store to a prominent unit in the heart of the centre.
“The new location, in our beautifully landscaped piazza area, provides a prime spot and we’re confident the store will continue to thrive and grow in its new home.”
