Cardfactory re-opens after relocating to a fresh new space at Fox Valley

8 August 2025

Fox Valley’s cardfactory store has moved to a new location at the centre as part of several key changes at the north Sheffield shopping centre.

Fresh new signage, a newly fitted out store and a balloon arch greeted shoppers to the new look cardfactory today (Friday August 8th).

The new unit is similar in size to the previous store and will continue to stock its extensive range of great-value cards, gifts, wrapping paper, balloon and party supplies allowing customer to celebrate and share all life's moments.

The retailer has been a valued part of the Fox Valley retail line up since the centre’s opening in 2016.  The original store was located next to Costa Coffee, alongside other major retailers including Home Bargains and Aldi.

They can now be found in the former JoJo Maman Bébé unit, located in the busy piazza area, next to Pavers and Greggs. Fit out work started on the new store last month just in time for the opening.

Cardfactory was founded in Wakefield in 1997 and is now the UK’s leading specialist retailer of cards, gifts and celebration essentials and has over 1100 stores across the UK and Ireland.

The relocation of the store makes way for the former store area to be re-developed along with the adjacent land as the site for a new Marks and Spencer Food Hall at Fox Valley.

Plans for the Food Hall – covering 22,742 sq. ft. with a 16,000 sq. ft. sales area – were submitted to Sheffield City Council in July.

James Shepherd, Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, which owns and manages Fox Valley said: “The new location within our vibrant and busy piazza offers a great new space for cardfactory and the new store looks great.

“The store has been part of our line up at Fox Valley since we first opened and we’re confident they’ll continue to grow in popularity here in their new location.”

Cardfactory is open seven years a week at Fox Valley.
