Hays Travel opens at Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough

The newest addition to Hays Travel’s retail network opened in Gainsborough yesterday [21 December] to join the retail line up at Marshall’s Yard shopping centre.

Branch Manager Lisa Favell and her team are ready to help customers with their holiday plans for 2024 and beyond, following Hays Travel’s £100k investment in the shop to prepare it for opening. With over 470 branches, Hays Travel is the UK’s largest independent travel agency.

Jane Schumm, Hays Travel’s Director of Retail, said: “We are thrilled to be opening a new branch in Gainsborough at Marshall's Yard. The shopping centre is a brilliant location in the heart of Lincolnshire, which we think customers will love for its ease of access and the sympathetic way the former site of Marshall’s Tractors has been restored. 

"We’re really pleased to be creating jobs in the region and welcome people with experience in travel as well as those looking for a change in career to join our Hays Travel family.”

Lisa Favell will manage six staff in the branch including Assistant Manager Ashley Jackson. Both qualified agents with many years of experience in travel, the pair have been based in Retford branch since joining Hays Travel, until the Gainsborough branch was complete.

Lisa said: “Since joining Hays Travel I have been very impressed by the shared commitment to customer excellence, and the way colleagues add personal touches to the customer journey. We will strive to continue this approach at our new Gainsborough branch and I am confident we will exceed our customers’ expectations.”

Jodie Pacey, Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hays Travel to the line-up of stores here at Marshall’s Yard and to bring something new to the centre for our customers. We hope holiday goers enjoy the new travel shop and we wish Lisa and the team all the very best.”

Customers who make a booking, will be invited to an official launch event on 18 January 2024.

The new Hays Travel branch can be found next door to Vision Express and replaces the former Coe & Co store. Visitors can park right outside for 50p for two hours.

The travel agency will be open from 9:15am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:15 to 5pm on Saturday.
