Dransfield Properties’ Fox Valley development has been shortlisted for another major property award.

The company has been named in the shortlist for the Restoration and Regeneration category in the Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards 2017 for the £50 million north Sheffield town centre development which opened in June 2016.

The South Yorkshire based company has been shortlisted in the ‘Restoration/Regeneration Project of the Year’ category – the winners will be announced in a ceremony at The Royal Armouries being held on September 28th 2017.

Since its opening in June 2016 the regeneration in Stocksbridge, North Sheffield has already created over 750 jobs, creating a new commercial heart in this part of north Sheffield including new retail office and leisure space as well as a neighbouring housing development of 118 new homes.

Fox Valley was the backdrop for the dramatic finale of this year’s Tour de Yorkshire and in May the development won the RICS Pro-Yorkshire Award for Regeneration, also taking a place in the national finals in November.

Located on the site of a former steel works, Fox Valley has created a brand new town centre for North Sheffield and has attracted a line-up of both national and independent stores.

The retail development opened its doors in 2016, with an official opening ceremony hosted by Absolutely Fabulous star Joanna Lumley.

Head of Communications at Dransfield Properties Amanda Holmes, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Insider Awards – everyone involved in delivering the Fox Valley scheme is extremely proud of what has been achieved in transforming this former industrial site into a vibrant and attractive new development which has created hundreds of jobs.”

The awards, taking place on September 28th, bring together businesses that have successfully designed, developed, funded and managed the built environment in Yorkshire.
