Countdown to more stores opening across Dransfield sites

6 April 2021

Teams across the Dransfield Properties portfolio are preparing for more of the centres' stores and businesses to reopen from next Monday. (April 12th)

Key essential retailers across all sites have traded through the third national lockdown – including Iceland, Aldi, Boots, Home Bargains, Savers and Wilko.

Weekly markets and monthly Farmers’ Market have also continued throughout the current lockdown at Fox Valley in Sheffield, Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth and in Gainsborough, with a line-up of essential traders, proving a popular way for local people to shop safely whilst supporting independent businesses.

The Five Valleys indoor market traders have traded well through the lockdown, supported by a zero emissions home delivery service via Good Sixty as well as a click and collect option.

And on Monday (April 12th) the lockdown easing will see more stores across the Dransfield sites opening the doors to their customers for the first time since January.

Non-essential stores will be permitted to reopen to shoppers as well as gyms, hairdressers and beauty and nail salons.

Businesses including Sandersons Boutique Department Store, Sports Direct, Card Factory, Seasalt and JoJo Maman Bebe will re-open. Gym's in the Dransfield portfolio will also be able to reopen including Snap Fitness and Anytime Fitness.

Sandersons Boutique, owned by Dransfield Properties, is also preparing to open a third store next week at the company's Five Valleys Shopping Centre in Stroud.

It’s hoped that restaurants and cafes will open to indoor diners from May 17th. In the mean-time customers will be able to sit outside under the rule of six or the new two households rule.

Mark Dransfield, Managing Director of Dransfield Properties said: “Our Centre Managers and Head Office team have been working closely with all our stores and businesses across our portfolio to ensure a smooth return to trading.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming more of our stores back and of course welcoming more customers safely back to our centres".
