New residential scheme at Fox Valley in for planning

17 May 2021

Sheffield-based property developers Dransfield Properties have submitted a planning application for the creation of 33 new apartments at the Fox Valley development in North Sheffield.

The two, three-storey buildings will consist of 27 one bedroom and 6 two bedroom apartments in total which will be located in the heart of Fox Valley.

The external elevations of the new buildings will be made of natural Yorkshire sandstone, in keeping with other buildings in the surrounding area. The development will include a beautifully landscaped, private communal garden area for residents and free car parking spaces.

The new apartments have plenty of amenities on the doorstep including cafes and restaurants, grocery stores, exciting fashion retailers and independent shops plus a 24 hour gym and beauty salons. Fox Valley is also ideally situated close to the M1, with access via the A616 link road making it the perfect place to live for commuters travelling to Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds.

To deliver the new Fox Valley apartment development, Dransfield Properties have teamed up with award-winning Sheffield based architect firm, Coda, who are the company behind the design of the new Sky House scheme at Oughtibridge Mill.

Each apartment has been carefully designed to include a balcony area, extending the living space and creating a contemporary style of housing currently underrepresented in the area.

Alisdair Gillespie from Dransfield Properties said: “We are delighted to announce our plans to continue our transformation of the beautiful town of Stocksbridge, which is fast becoming to the go-to place to live, work and socialise in Sheffield.

“We are aiming to begin construction this summer with the first apartments going to market in spring 2022”.

This investment into new housing at Fox Valley comes following the £24m Towns Fund which was secured for Stocksbridge earlier in the year.

The Towns Fund project will bring major changes to parts of Stocksbridge high street as well as improving the local leisure centre facilities, delivering range of new facilities, improvements in public realm as well as creating new cycle ways and walking route links to build on the area's reputation as the gateway to some of the region's most stunning countryside.

The new Fox Valley residential development is due to begin on site in August this year. To find out more about Dransfield Properties visit www.dransfieldproperties.co.uk
