New Bridal Shop for Selby

Selby's spring brides are in for a treat this week as a brand new shop is opening it doors in the town’s Market Cross Shopping Centre.

Occasions is being launched by sisters Victoria and Julie Anne, and will offer a wide range of Bridal and special occasion wear in the town.

It’s been launched this weekend with an open day and some special offers for Selby’s shoppers who are looking for that extra special outfit.

The shop will stock designs from well known labels including Sincerity, Sweetheart and Mon Cherie and as well as bridal gowns will also stock accessories for other occasions as well as prom dresses.

The shop also specialises in occasion wear for children and it’s a one stop shop for weddings - flowers and cakes can be made to order through Occasions to make sure your big day goes without a hitch.

It’s a busy time at Market Centre as Selby District council is also due to open a Customer Contact Centre.

Julie, from Occasions said: “We are busy getting things ready for the opening now and we can’t wait to the opening day. This is a new business for us and we are really excited about it.”

David Hale, development surveyor for Dransfield Properties said: “It is an exciting time at Market Cross and we are delighted that Julie and Victoria are opening their new shop, this is a brand new venture for them and we wish them all the very best. We are also looking forward to seeing the new council contact centre when it is fully operational.”
