Leading outdoor retailer opens new store at Fox Valley!

The outdoor retailer Mountain Warehouse has opened the company’s latest store at Fox Valley in north Sheffield today (Friday 4th June).

Mountain Warehouse was founded in 1997 and is the UK’s leading outdoor retailer with 250 stores across the UK, serving more than 4 million customers every year – the new Fox Valley store has created 10 new jobs in the area.

The company’s fit out team has transformed the former M&Co unit at the award- winning shopping centre into the new 6,174 sq. ft. Mountain Warehouse.

With an increase in walking, hiking and staycations over the last 12 months outdoor stores have fared well throughout the pandemic.

Mountain Warehouse founder, Mark Neale, said, “We’re proud to be opening our newest Mountain Warehouse store in Fox Valley and excited to share our passion for adventure and great value outdoor gear for all the family with this community.”

Estates Director at Dransfield Properties which owns and manages Fox Valley, James Shepherd, said: “We are delighted that Mountain Warehouse has joined the line up at Fox Valley. The company has stores at our sites in Gainsborough and Morpeth and we are pleased they are opening a third store with us here in Sheffield.

“We are in a great outdoor location here for walking, cycling and climbing at the gateway to the Peak District and are confident that the new store will be a really popular addition to the centre.”

Fox Valley celebrates its fifth birthday in June with a special weekend Food Fair planned for the 12th and 13th June.

Further announcements will be made in the coming weeks about other new stores due to open at the centre later in the summer.
