James joins the board at South Yorkshire property management firm

Management Surveyor James Shepherd has been appointed as a director of GVFM - the South Yorkshire based property management company.

GVFM is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dransfield Properties Ltd and manages the company’s property portfolio, working with more than 160 tenants across the firm’s country wide developments.

30-year-old James joined Dransfield Properties four years ago after successfully completing a Master’s Degree in Commercial Property and has more recently headed up the GVFM team which manages a property portfolio worth in excess of £100 million.

Centres managed by the company include Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough and Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, Northumberland, both of which have achieved top industry and design awards in recent years. The company also manages high quality retail destinations in Selby, east Manchester and Stoke on Trent.

In Yorkshire the company recently completed the striking Penistone 1 Commercial and Retail development in Penistone, near Barnsley.

Work has also just started on the £42 million Fox Valley scheme in Stocksbridge, north Sheffield which will transform a former steelworks site into a well designed retail, office and housing development.

James said: “I am delighted to be joining the board of GVFM at what is a very exciting time for the company.

"We have a number of key developments which will be completed this year, and I look forward to playing my part in their effective management as well as continuing to work with all the businesses on our centres to ensure we deliver the high quality retail experience our customers expect.”
