QED Financial Associates Ltd is the latest company to open for business at the brand new Penistone 1 development in Penistone, South Yorkshire.

The company has relocated from Holmfirth and expanded into a brand new 1,310 sq. ft. commercial unit at Penistone 1, fronting St Mary’s Street in the town.

Directors Mark Sanderson, John Gummerson and Wayne Harper have more than 70 years’ experience in financial services between them and have taken on two new members of staff as part of their expansion plans and are currently recruiting for new advisors.

Specialising in all aspects of financial planning and advice – including pensions, savings, investments and mortgages, QED is already being well received in the company’s new location.

Wayne said: “We offer whole of market financial advice and we aim to find the best product for our clients. We have clients all over the country and had been looking for some time for a new location so we can expand our range of services.

“Our new premises in Penistone with a high street presence are in a fantastic location and we are delighted to be among the first companies to move here to Penistone 1.  Penistone is a thriving community and we are very proud to be growing our business here.”

QED joins other companies including Simon Blyth, and Café Generation which have also opened at Penistone 1. The new development was officially opened at the beginning of April by Cllr Sir Stephen Houghton CBE, leader of Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council.

Development surveyor for Dransfield Properties, Dave Hale, said: “The QED offices look fantastic and we are delighted to be welcoming another great Yorkshire company to Penistone 1.

“We have had some really excellent feedback about the quality of the development, both in terms of the architecture and the interior.

“We’ll be making further announcements in the next few weeks about a number of other companies taking space, now that construction work has been completed.”

Dransfield Properties attracted £1.2 million of investment from the European Union to bring forward this final phase of the Penistone town centre regeneration project through the European Regional Development Fund, part of the support for the region's economic development through the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme 2007-13.
