Dransfield Properties welcomes two new members of staff to the team!

Sheffield graduates Miranda Hird and James Shepherd have joined the team at South Yorkshire based retail developers, Dransfield Properties Ltd.

Miranda, 23, was brought up in Sheffield and twenty-six-year-old James is from Huddersfield - both attended Sheffield University. James studied Economics before going on to complete his Masters Degree in Commercial Property and Miranda studied English and Media.

James has joined the Dransfield team as Assistant Development Surveyor and Miranda has taken on the role of Public Relations Assistant, she will be starting a CIPR course in Leeds later in the year.

Dransfield Properties has gone from strength to strength in recent years – the flagship Sanderson Arcade development opened in November 2009 and the firm has recently started construction work on a major £40 million district centre scheme in East Manchester.

Closer to home Dransfield Properties will be on site with a mixed use scheme at Stocksbridge, North Sheffield next year and the company has also delivered the new Tesco development in Penistone, Barnsley which is due to open later this year.

The two new members of staff say they are delighted to be given the opportunity to join the company.

James said: “After leaving University the challenge of dealing with such important development issues is great experience for me and I hope to grow in experience with Dransfield Properties.”

Miranda added: ‘After working in a more retail based environment previously I have embraced the chance to play my part in marketing the company successfully and organising exciting new events at our shopping centres! I learn something new every day.”
