This exciting new project in Hyde, Greater Manchester, will bring a high-quality retail and leisure destination to the southern edge of the town, repurposing a long-vacant site into a vibrant local hub.

Located at the junction of Stockport Road and Dowson Road, the 0.42-hectare site was formerly home to an Audi dealership. Dransfield Properties is bringing forward proposals to convert and refurbish the existing building to create a new small-format supermarket and a modern gym, along with customer parking, EV charging, landscaping, and other public amenities.

The plans will deliver:

• 12,275 sq ft of commercial space
• Two key occupiers: a supermarket and gym
• 72 parking spaces including EV and disabled bays
• Parcel lockers and car wash provision
• Retention and enhancement of existing landscaping along Apethorn Lane

This project is currently awaiting planning approval, with a decision expected winter 2025/26. Once complete, the development is expected to generate 30–35 permanent jobs, supporting the local economy and improving access to everyday services for nearby residents.
