This exciting new project in Hyde, Greater Manchester, is delivering a high-quality retail and leisure destination to the southern edge of the town, repurposing a long-vacant site into a vibrant local hub.

Located at the junction of Stockport Road and Dowson Road, the 0.42-hectare site was formerly home to an Audi dealership. Dransfield Properties is bringing forward proposals to convert and refurbish the existing building to create a new small-format supermarket and a modern gym, along with customer parking, EV charging, landscaping, and other public amenities.

The plans will deliver:

• 12,275 sq ft of commercial space
• Two key occupiers: a supermarket and gym
• 72 parking spaces including EV and disabled bays
• Parcel lockers and car wash provision
• Retention and enhancement of existing landscaping along Apethorn Lane

This project was approved for planning in February 2026 and work is underway. Once complete, the development is expected to generate 30–35 permanent jobs, supporting the local economy and improving access to everyday services for nearby residents.
