Taste for Italian coffee leads to Costa Coffee expansion

Italian coffee house Costa Coffee is proving such a hit with customers that work is now underway to double the size of its Marshall’s Yard store and create an additional lounge area at first floor level.

The store has been extremely popular with Marshall’s Yard visitors since it opened last year, and the new, enlarged premises will allow them to serve the increasing numbers of customers who visit on a daily basis.

The new lounge benefits from floor to ceiling glazing which will give customers a stunning view of the peace gardens and fountain area below.  Work is progressing well, and the lounge is scheduled to open in March.

And its not just coffee lovers who can benefit from this relaxing new lounge area – Costa Coffee also sells a selection of teas, iced drinks, sandwiches and paninis.

Janet Linfoot, Marshall’s Yard centre manager, said: “The Costa Coffee expansion is great news and a clear sign that Marshall’s Yard is managing to attract increasing numbers of visitors.  Costa Coffee has been extremely popular with visitors to Marshall’s Yard and I’m sure customers will be delighted to hear that the store will soon have additional space in which they can enjoy their drinks and relax.”
