Steve joins the board at award winning Yorkshire property firm

Senior accountant Steve Stead FCCA has been appointed as a director of the South Yorkshire retail property development firm, Dransfield Properties.

Penistone father of three Steve, who heads up the accounts team at the Barnsley based company, has worked at Dransfield Properties for more than ten years.

He’s played a key role in the company’s move to take the management of its property portfolio in house and was last year shortlisted in the Yorkshire Rising Star of the Year Award.

The DPL property portfolio is worth in excess of 100 million with more than 160 tenants across its shopping centres in Selby, Manchester, Morpeth, Gainsborough and Stoke on Trent.

Dransfield Properties has its head office in the striking Penistone 1 Commercial and Retail development in Penistone, near Barnsley which the company completed in spring 2014. The scheme has been shortlisted for an RICS Pro Yorkshire Award; the results will be announced on May 15th.

This year the company has also started work on the £42 million Fox Valley scheme in Stocksbridge, north Sheffield which is transforming a former steelworks site into a high quality, master planned retail, office and housing development.

Steve is a regular marathon runner and was given the opportunity to carry the Olympic torch in 2012 through his home town of Barnsley.
