Snap Fitness Gainsborough continues to support members on their fitness journey during Tier 4 closure.

5 January 2021

Snap Fitness at Marshalls Yard will continue to help members keep fit this New Year using free online workouts, tips and motivation during their temporary closure.

Gainsborough’s new gym opened its doors on Boxing Day 2020, only to shut them just a short time later following the Government’s announcement that the town was placed under Tier 4 restrictions.

Located on the first-floor of the former DW Fitness unit, the 24-hour gym opened with initial success following a huge transformation including a complete new fit out and an upgrade to the latest state of the art fitness equipment.

The gym features cardio and resistance areas, a functional training area with training aids, a large free weights section and spacious fitness studio with a timetable of free group classes.

However, since the announcement was made all current memberships have been frozen and will resume when the gym opens.

To ensure members maintain their fitness routines, the Snap team have devised a series of free online workouts which can be accessed using the platform Fitness on Demand via their tablet or smartphone.

To keep up the momentum, Snap personal trainers will be regularly sharing inspiration and workouts via their social media accounts to support the Snap community.

There is still the option for new members to sign up ahead of the gym reopening, so they are ready to book sessions when the restrictions are lifted.

Snap Fitness members are able to take on a monthly rolling membership without committing to a contract, providing flexibility and to suit all members’ needs.

Tenant Liaison Executive at Marshall’s Yard, Charlotte Toplass said: “We were saddened to hear news of the gym’s closure after such a short period of opening, but we do appreciate that safety restrictions must be in place for now.

“We are delighted that Snap have found a way to continue supporting their members’ fitness routines whilst at home and we look forward to welcoming new and existing members to the gym to enjoy a safe, socially distanced workout once restrictions are lifted.”

Hannah Foster, Franchise Manager of the DS Group, franchisees for Snap Fitness, said: “Our first four days of opening was brilliant, high energy with lots of members starting really good fitness routines, many of them working with our team of personal trainers. The news of the Tier 4 closure hit the team hard, they worked so hard in the build up to our Boxing Day opening, including late into the evening on Christmas Eve.

“We are using the time to add some finishing touches to the club, including new music - reactive LED lighting in the studios and installation of MyZone Hardware. Our PTs and team will be posting inspiration on social media, including tips and workouts as well as club news, through the closure.

We are also offering all of our members free access to Fitness on Demand from home, which contains hundreds of at home work-outs, to keep them in routine and motivated.

“All memberships have been automatically frozen and will only resume once we are able to re-open.”

The swimming pool at the gym will be operated separately and an announcement will be made in the coming weeks with information on how to access that as a separate facility.

New members can register for a Snap fitness monthly membership with 24 hour gym access and unlimited group fitness classes for £29.99 per month and pay half price joining fee (usually £30) at snapfitness.com/uk/gyms/gainsborough.
