Shopping centre shortlisted in top regional award

Five Valleys Shopping Centre in Stroud has been shortlisted in a prestigious regional award after undergoing a major transformation by Dransfield Properties over the last two years.

The previously run-down centre has been given a brand-new lease of life attracting a host of new stores and businesses to the centre, with an investment totalling around £17 million by the leading Yorkshire property firm.

The transformation of the centre has now been acknowledged in the SoGlos Gloucestershire Lifestyle Awards 2021 which aim to recognise and celebrate the very best lifestyle sector businesses in and around the county. All the winners are chosen by an online public vote and will be announced at a special event held in October.

The improvements at Five Valleys include the upgraded multi storey car park as well as new shop fronts, paving access and signage at the centre as well as the creation of new retail units which have been all been upgraded and modernised.

High quality town centre apartments have also been created with work underway on more residential accommodation in this mixed-use town centre development.

At the heart of the project is the new Borough Market style market hall with a great line up of local artisan traders and food to go outlets which has created a real destination and point of difference for the town.

Later this year work also starts on a new town centre Medical Centre at Five Valleys which is part of the overall project.
