Plenty of reasons to ‘call’ into Vodafone after shop extends stay at Selby’s Market Cross

There is good news for shoppers searching for a new phone, tablet or iPad in Selby as Vodafone has just announced it will be extending its stay at Market Cross – and has plenty of special offers and promotions in the pipeline.  

The telecommunications store has just renewed its lease at the shopping centre, owned by award-winning town centre regeneration specialists Dransfield Properties Ltd, meaning customers will be able to take advantage of their great range of products for the foreseeable future.

In addition, the shop has just been taken over by Marc Greenspan, who is serving as the new Franchisee, as part of Vodafone’s Partner programme – which is collaborative scheme that sees the company and partner agents work together to operate stores.

Marc has more than 20 years’ worth of experience working in the field of telecommunications, originally in his native South Africa and more recently in the UK.

He took over the reins at the Selby Vodafone in November 2023 and says the shop has a bright future which is good news for shoppers in Selby.

Marc said: “We have a fantastic customer base here in Selby and benefit from high footfall in Market Cross, which is obviously really good for business, and it is great to be based in the middle of the town.

“Our staff who work in the shop really are experts in their field – whatever question you may have, they will be able to answer it.

“The iPhone 15 and Samsung S24 are among our best sellers at the moment. Our customers are particularly impressed with the standard of the camera for both phones, which is so far advanced and provides unbelievable quality.      

“We really do feel like part of the community and want to provide that face-to-face service, which going forward will mean more offers that you can only get in-store.”

Customers can look forward to a range of upcoming special offers and discounts. This includes a deal for any existing pay monthly customer who purchases a new home broadband line (excluding Essentials) will be eligible to receive a free Ring Video Doorbell and Echo Pop. 

Vodafone stocks all the latest phones from top brands including Samsung and iPhone. The store also sells iPads and tablets. In addition, they offer a range of deals including pay monthly phones, pay as you go and broadband deals.

“The shopping centre is 100 per cent fully occupied, which is a success story for the Great British High Street.”

The team at Market Cross are working hard to produce a full calendar of free community events with the next one being held over Easter on March 30. More details will be announced soon.
