Perito’s serves up a brand new outlet at Manchester’s Lime Square

The Portuguese and Mexican restaurant franchise Perito’s is the latest company to announce that it’s taking space at Openshaw’s Lime Square.

Perito’s already has a strong following in the area with restaurants in Bolton and Rochdale – the company will be opening its Express format restaurant in a 15,500 sq ft unit at Lime Square fronting Ashton Old Road later this summer.

The restaurant chain, with its eye-catching red chicken branding, is the latest firm to announce it’s to join the Lime Square line up and is working towards an August opening in Unit 19 which fronts the busy Ashton Old Road.

Around 15 new jobs will be created locally and the company will be investing around £150,000 in fitting out the brand new outlet with a modern and contemporary design.

Perito’s prides itself on offering grilled and healthy food with great selection of Peri Peri and Mexican items including chicken, burritos, gourmet burgers, quesadilla and many more.

The new food concept offers a casual dining experience within a strong emphasis on good service and healthy options, the new Lime Square store will offer fat free frozen yoghurt and fresh fruit and there’s also a street food menu available too.

CEO of Perito’s Shah Choudary said: “This is a great location for us to open our third restaurant. We have been looking for some time for the right place in this part of Manchester and it’s great to be part of the new phase of work here at Lime Square.

“We have really great feedback from our customers in other areas and we’re looking forward to bringing the Perito’s concept to Openshaw.”

Perito’s was founded by five friends in 2012 who wanted to create an infusion and mash-up of two cuisines and the team have ambitions to have restaurants and express outlets in all major cities across the UK.

Amy Baldwin, management surveyor at Dransfield Properties, said: “It’s great to see work nearing completion on the final phase here at Lime Square and we are delighted that Perito’s will be one of our new businesses here at Lime Square.

“They really do offer something different and we’re confident that Perito’s will be a popular addition to the line-up.”

Lime Square is anchored by an 80,000 sq ft Morrisons store and is already home to other retailers including Card Factory, Store 21, B&M Stores and Poundland. The centre has been delivered by Yorkshire based retail specialists Dransfield Properties Ltd.

The final phase of work at the centre will be completed later this month and other retailers to join the line-up include Phones4U and The Gym Group which opens in September.
