Oakesy’s Fruit & Veg are all set to open at Five Valleys

1 March 2021

Gloucester-based Greengrocer, Oakesy’s are gearing up to open within the Five Valleys indoor Market on Friday 5th March at 10am.

Huge progress has been made to the new fruit and veg unit within the market, which is owned by Michael Oakes - a Gloucester based Greengrocer with almost 20 years’ experience within the trade.

Michael Oakes said: “Things are really starting to take shape within the unit and every time I look around I’m more eager to open, it’s such a great space!

“We have built the unit from scratch using recycled materials, trying to produce as little waste as possible and the outcome looks amazing, I really can’t wait for our customers to see it.”

This is something that Michael is aiming to continue throughout his business - all fittings in the unit are made from recycled pallets and traditional paper bags which are 100% bio-degradable will be used for bagging their produce.

Michael also has a plan to reduce any product waste, he added: “We will be juicing our fruit and veg too, creating the freshest juices for our customers to enjoy!”

Oakesy’s pride themselves in sourcing as much British produce as possible and always provide their customers with the highest quality fresh produce.

In their new unit at five valleys, they will have a range the freshest seasonal produce, traditional and exotic fruits and a range of herbs and spices.

Oakesy’s fresh fruit and veg will not only be available to pick up from the Market, but they will also be available for delivery through the Five Valleys home delivery service with Good Sixty.

Centre Manager of Five Valleys Shopping Centre, Dionne Moore said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming Oakesy’s to Five Valleys from Friday, they are another fantastic, independent business to strengthen the line-up at our indoor market”.

Oakesy’s will open on the Friday, 5th March and can be found next to The Lily Pad.

The Five Valleys Market is currently open for food and essential shopping with a range of fresh produce and take away meals available to purchase from Waghorne’s Butchers, Pershore Seafood, the Artisan Baker, Armadeli, Thai 2 Go, La Cantina and more.
