New Slaithwaite Aldi stores prepares for opening this month

The main construction work at the new Aldi store in Slaithwaite is completed this week – ready for the store opening later in the month.
The majority of the works around the new building, including the car park have also been completed by the main contractors PDR – the car park is being white-lined this week ready for the first customers when the store opens.
The new store is located off Britannia Road in Slaithwaite and is scheduled to open at the end of November.
As well as a 12,100 sq. ft. new food store the development also includes around 90 car parking space. The building has been designed in natural stone and corten steel.
Up to 30 new members of staff have been taken on to work at the Aldi which has been built on the site of the former Colne Mill – construction work got underway in March this year.
Head of Communications at Dransfield Properties, Amanda Holmes, said: “It’s great to see the main construction work now completed, the building looks great and we look forward to the store opening at the end of November.”
