Morpeth’s new boutique department store launched!

Morpeth’s fabulous new department store, Sandersons Boutique is now officially open with shoppers turning out to welcome the new businesses to the town.

The team at the 8,500 sq. ft independent boutique store cut the ribbon this morning (Thursday 22nd October) along with the store’s Managing Director Mark Dransfield and his eldest daughter, Rebecca, 25.

Sandersons Boutique Store is located in the former New Look unit at Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth and has undergone a full transformation in just six weeks – creating a stunning new retail environment with a host of new brands for the town.

The store is home to a wide range of stylish, unique and luxury brands as well as high street favourites. Brands include Barbour, Pennyblack, Ugg, Jacob Cohen and Holland Cooper sit alongside high end Parisian brand Ventcouvert and many more.

Sandersons Boutique also carries a collection of high-end fragrances which the team have sourced from the perfume houses of Europe including Initio, Atkinsons, House of Oud, Histoires de Parfum and Parfum de Marley.

The store opening has created 13 new jobs in the town and represents an investment of £500,000 from the owners Dransfield Properties who also own and manage the successful Sanderson Arcade development which celebrated its 10th birthday last year.

The new store is laid out with all current government guidance in mind including wide walkways with plenty of room for customers to browse, hand sanitising stations, temperature checks on arrival and a test and trace QR code.

Sandersons also stocks their fabulous products in the online store and pledge to offer the same level of exceptional customer service for their online customers, offering services such as gift wrapping and remote personal shopping appointments.

“Not many businesses are able to expand during these difficult times but I have a fantastic team behind me who have all had their part to play in making today a huge success.

“We feel we know the customer really well here in Morpeth having worked in the town for more than a decade, and are confident that we have chosen the right range brands to complement the line-up in the town - many of which are exclusive to the area!”

The original Sandersons store opened in Fox Valley in Sheffield in 2016 and a third store will open in Stroud, Gloucestershire in Spring 2021.

Sandersons Boutique Store Morpeth is open seven days a week: Monday – Saturday 9.30am – 6pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.
