Gyms to re-open across DPL centres

21 July 2020

DPL’s award-winning shopping centres are preparing to welcome back their gyms this weekend following a further lifting of the lockdown restrictions by the Government.

Gyms can reopen from Saturday 25th July with strict new criteria in place to ensure they are covid compliant.

At Fox Valley in north Sheffield the popular Snap Fitness and Fit 20 will re-open and DW Sport and Fitness is due to open to customers again at Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough.

The Gym Group at Lime Square has just renewed the company’s lease and extended it to 2034 and the team will re-open this weekend.

At Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth the Healthlands women’s only gym will also be opening to customers once again and Anytime Fitness at Five Valleys in Stroud is also welcoming its members back.

All the centre’s gyms have introduced social distancing measures and sanitising regimes to protect staff and customers.

Managing Director at Dransfield Properties, Mark Dransfield, said: “Our gyms are a really important part of our centres and all are very well used by their members.

“We are delighted that they have been given the go-ahead to reopen safely. It definitely feels like a positive step and its great to see the majority of our businesses now open and trading or preparing to reopen in the coming days.”
