Come to Selby if you dare this Halloween!

The team at Market Cross in Selby are gearing up to host their annual Halloween family fun event on Wednesday 31st October.

From 1pm to 3pm there is lots of live entertainment and fun crafts planned including a live dance performance from Miss Hannah’s School of Dance at 2pm and a pumpkin design craft workshop will run from 1pm until 3pm with prizes for the best entries. Made a pumpkin at school or at home? Then bring it along and enter into the competition.

There will also be a fancy dress parade taking place at 2:30pm to find the best dressed youngsters in Selby with lots of prizes up for grabs- don’t forget there will be free freaky face painting from 1pm to complete your look ready for the parade!

Halloween-themed stilt walkers will be roaming around the town to greet you and a spooky scavenger hunt will be taking place from Market Cross. Pick up your clues around the town and follow the trail to be in with a chance of winning a prize.

The event will be held in the centre of Market Cross near to ‘The Hub’.

Market Cross is owned and managed by the South Yorkshire retail specialists Dransfield Properties. 

Alison Shipperbottom, from the Dransfield Properties management team, said: “We are really looking forward to a great afternoon of Halloween fun, from pumpkins to fancy dress parades. 

“We are also planning our Christmas Lights switch on event, which takes place on Saturday December 1st, and lots of festive entertainment throughout December so watch this space.”
