Talented beauty therapist Kristi Arabskyj has unveiled her brand new spa in Penistone, South Yorkshire – with the aim of making her customers feel completely at home.
Twenty-one-year old Kristi has transformed one of the units in the new Penistone 1 development into a stylish home from home where people can completely relax when they visit the salon for a treatment.
Called Spa 493 the brand new business is in one of the ground floor units at Penistone 1 and was unveiled with a VIP evening on Friday December 12th.
The Salon has been stylishly designed to feel and look welcoming – there’s even a traditional fireplace in the 959 sq. ft. unit to give it a really homely feel.
Kristi, from Wakefield, has been on the lookout for the last few months for the perfect location to open her own business.
She said: “I just love it here in Penistone, as soon as I saw the town and this unit I knew this was right, it’s a lovely place and I’m really excited to be opening my first business here.
“I wanted to create a lovely environment for both men and women who come for treatments, so they can feel completely relaxed when they come here.” added Kristi, who trained at the Central College of Health and Beauty in Leeds.
Spa 493 offers treatments for both men and women, including manicures, facials, massage, tanning, brows and lashes – there’s even traditional cut-throat shaving for male customers.
The winner of the LABC Best Small Builder Awards 2014, Andrew Ellis and Son have had a strong input in the design side of the salon creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a log burning fire feature.
Dave Hale, development surveyor from Dransfield Properties, which owns and manages the Penistone 1 development, said: “We are delighted that Kristi is opening her business here at Penistone 1.
“The Spa looks fantastic, it’s something really different in the town and Kristi has got some great ideas – we wish her all the very best with her new business.”
Kristi has been supported by Young Upstart – a free service in West and South Yorkshire which supports 16-24 year olds in helping their business ideas become a reality.
