New vision for Gainsborough opticians, as Vision Express unveils new store at Marshall’s Yard

23 September 2014

Vision Express has officially opened its new local Gainsborough store at Marshall’s Yard with a ribbon-cutting by the store team.

The opening marks a new home for the store following its relocation from 33 Market Street, which became part of the Vision Express family after the acquisition of Rayner Opticians in May 2014.

With larger rooms and a better location in a 1,670 sq. ft. unit the new store has been fitted with the latest facilities and equipment to deliver a thorough vision care service to the Gainsborough community.

Store manager, Mary-Ann Smith and her team including optical assistants Samantha Smith and Emma Simmons, plus new resident optician Katherine Mitchell, have already received overwhelmingly positive feedback from loyal customers and passers-by. A total of four members of staff are working at the new store.

Mary-Ann Smith said: "Our new improved location and store is certainly something to behold and the feedback from customers is that they love it.

"We’re delighted with our new store, particularly as we can continue to provide the same high level of service our customers know us for, with an offering which now includes sophisticated screening  equipment and a wide selection of frames. We look forward to welcoming customers to our spacious and cheerful new home.”

Assistant Centre Manager at Marshall’s Yard, Alison Hall, said: “Its great news that Vision Express has expanded its team and opened here at Marshall’s Yard. We’re delighted to welcome Mary-Ann and the team to the centre.”

Vision Express offers an eye test to best practice guidelines of the College of Optometrists (COO), with each Vision Express optometrist being a qualified eye health professional.
