Retailers line up for June opening at Fox Valley

14 March 2016

A host of high street names have announced they’ll be opening later this year at north Sheffield’s new £50 million Fox Valley development.

Pets at Home and Regatta are the latest companies to announce they’re taking space in the 144,000 sq. ft. brand new town centre development which is on schedule for a June 2016 opening.

The news will bring a great range of new retailers and services to the area as well as creating hundreds of jobs.

Regatta, which has more than 40 years of experience in outdoor clothing has chosen the town centre development as the location for its brand new landmark store which will stock a full range of the Regatta brands – including the premium Dare 2b and the Craghopper range. The new store will cover 4,000 sq. ft.

The Fox Valley Pets at Home will cover more than 9,120 sq. ft. and will also house a new grooming parlour and veterinary practice as well as a retail store.

It was announced last summer that the centre would be home to the region’s largest ALDI store as well as Full Gas Bikes – a new concept in bike shops headed by the pro cyclist and sports commentator Tony Gibb.

Other companies to announce they’re joining the line-up at Fox Valley include the London based Italian restaurant Ponti’s Italian Kitchen with the company’s first venture outside the capital and Sanderson’s – a 17,000 sq. ft. boutique department store. The centre will open on June 16th 2016.

The high quality independent coffee shop brand Central Bean is also opening at Fox Valley, in the development’s iconic umbrella shaped building which has been inspired by the paragon umbrella frame which was patented by Samuel Fox in the 1850s in this part of Sheffield.

Fox Valley is being delivered by the award winning South Yorkshire retail property firm Dransfield Properties Ltd.

Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, Mark Dransfield, said: “We are extremely proud to be welcoming a great line up of retailers to our new development in north Sheffield.

“Fox Valley is a new town centre for an area which has been really underserved for retail and restaurants and we are creating something completely different here. We are keenly focussed on creating a unique retail environment and the quality of the architecture and the materials we are using at Fox Valley are absolutely key to that.”

Fox Valley has been designed around a 600 space free customer car park with a stunning fountain area and outdoor seating for the new restaurants.

As well as new retail units and high spec office space a new housing development by Stonebridge Homes is being built on a neighbouring site bringing 118 homes, ranging from one bedroom apartments to four bedroomed detached houses.
