Annabel Plumtree has been appointed to the role of Centre Manager at north Sheffield’s new £50 million Fox Valley development which is due to open this summer.

The new town centre scheme is being delivered by the award winning South Yorkshire company Dransfield Properties Ltd and will bring a brand new retail line up to north Sheffield.

Annabel has worked at the company’s Marshall’s Yard shopping centre in Gainsborough for the last 18 months after being appointed as a Graduate Trainee there in October 2014.

During her time at Marshall’s Yard she has been instrumental in organising events and relaunching the centre’s regular market, working under the Marshall’s Yard centre manager Alison Hall.

22-year-old, Annabel, who is from Skellingthorpe, near Lincoln, is now looking forward to taking on her new role at Fox Valley when the centre opens in June.

She will work alongside the Dransfield Properties management team who will be moving to new office premises at Fox Valley in the spring.

The company owns and manages a portfolio of award winning shopping centres including Marshall’s Yard and Sanderson’s Arcade which is in Morpeth, Northumberland.

Annabel, who will take over her new role at the end of April, said: “It is a real honour to be working for such a great company and I am delighted to have this fantastic opportunity at Fox Valley at such an exciting time as we prepare to open the centre this summer.

“I’ve learnt a great deal working under Alison at Marshall’s Yard and I am looking forward to bringing that experience to Fox Valley.”

James Shepherd, Management Surveyor at Dransfield Properties, said: “Annabel’s appointment is really well deserved and she brings with her a good knowledge of retail management, she is experienced in working with companies ranging from small independent to national retailers.”

“The centre will be our company’s largest development and Annabel will play a key role in promoting Fox Valley in the region as well as working with all our retailers at the centre and local groups and stakeholders.

“The development is looking great now and we are on schedule and looking forward to our big opening event on June 16th.”

Fox Valley is delivering a new  144,000 sq. ft. town centre in north Sheffield with a 600 space car park as well as brand new, high-spec office space. A new housing development with 118 executive homes is also being developed on a neighbouring site by Leeds company Stonebridge Homes.

Dransfield Properties has received an investment of £8,111,040 from the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme 2007- 2013, which is managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government to bring forward the Fox Valley project.
