Medi joins the board at Yorkshire property management firm

The centre manager of the award winning Sanderson Arcade development in Morpeth, Medi Parry, has been appointed as a director of GVFM - the South Yorkshire based property management company.

GVFM manages Dransfield Properties’ £130 million property portfolio, including Sanderson Arcade, which Medi has successfully run for the last four years.

32-year-old Medi, who was named Centre Manager of the Year in the 2013 Sceptre Awards, will continue in her role at Sanderson Arcade as well as taking on the title Director of Centre Management and a position on the GVFM board. 

Before heading up the team at Sanderson Arcade Medi worked for two years as assistant manager at Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough where she joined the team in December 2009.

At Sanderson Arcade Medi has implemented a number of key changes and mentored junior members of the team.

She has also been instrumental in working on events and promotions in the town resulting in growing footfall and visitor numbers to Morpeth,  footfall at the centre has increased by 28 per cent in the last four years.

Footfall currently averages at 57,000 per week and recently hit record levels of more than 14,000 visitors on the day of the town’s annual Food Festival, organised by the Sanderson Arcade team working in partnership with other stakeholders.

As well as Sanderson Arcade, GVFM manages Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough, Lime Square in east Manchester and Selby’s Market Cross.  The company will also manage Dransfield Properties’ new £50 million Fox Valley development which is currently under construction in north Sheffield.

Dransfield Properties is also due to start work on the redevelopment of the former Morrison’s store in Morpeth town centre,  creating three new retail units in a prime town centre location which will be managed by the Arcade team.
