A company specialising in rural surveying and agricultural valuations is the latest firm to announce its taking space in the new Penistone 1 development in Penistone, South Yorkshire.

Neil J Bland Ltd is a small and experienced company of rural practice chartered surveyors and agricultural valuers.

With a headquarters in Belper in Derbyshire the company is opening a second office in Penistone in July in a brand new 450 sq. ft. office unit at the new town centre development.

The Penistone practice will be headed by Neil Bland, who has more than 25 years of experience and is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Joining Neil will be Ruth Woodcock, who qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2007 and is looking forward to the move back to her local area.

The company will be offering a full range of services to farmers and landowners from their new Penistone offices.

The company specialises in providing professional advice and assistance to farmers, growers and landowners across a broad range of disciplines and has built up a strong reputation over the last ten years.

Neil said: “Penistone is a great location for us, it is surrounded by good farms and farmland and has access to the major road networks. We are delighted to be opening our new offices in the town and look forward to meeting new and old customers here in South Yorkshire.”

Neil J Bland joins other companies including Simon Blyth, and QED Financial Services who have already moved to Penistone 1. Two other companies which are also new to the area are due to move to Penistone 1 in the next few weeks.

Development surveyor for Dransfield Properties, Dave Hale, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Neil and his team to our new offices here at Penistone 1 and wish the company all the very best in their new premises.

"We’ve had some great feedback about the quality and design of our offices and also the facilities we have for businesses. We have a number of other companies who are also due to be moving in and we look forward to making further announcements.”

Dransfield Properties attracted £1.2 million of investment from the European Union to bring forward this final phase of the Penistone town centre regeneration project through the European Regional Development Fund, part of the support for the region's economic development through the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme 2007-13.
