Savers to re-locate their town centre store to Selby's Market Cross

2 May 2014

Savers Health and Beauty is opening a brand new Selby store at the town’s Market Cross centre.

The company, which has more than 230 stores across the country is taking the 2,100 sq. ft. former Fultons Foods unit and relocating from Abbey Walks.

The move will secure jobs at the town centre store and give the company a new central location at Market Cross, joining retailers including Home Bargains, Bright House, Greggs and Boots.

Savers aims to be the most competitively priced health and beauty products and household goods retailer on the high street and prides itself on its clean, crisp store settings with friendly, well-trained employees.

The company has now start fitting out the new Market Cross unit after Fultons Food closed last month.

James Shepherd, management surveyor at Dransfield Properties, said: “We are delighted that Savers is taking space at Market Cross, they are popular retailer in the town and it’s great news that they can secure jobs and relocate to our centre.

"We look forward to Savers opening its new store in the next few weeks and wish the company all the very best at Market Cross.”

Fultons Foods opened at Market Cross in 2009 and took the decision not to re-new the company’s lease at the centre, creating the opportunity for Savers to open their new store.
