New Cutting Edge Salon to Open at Tunstall’s Alexandra Park

1 March 2013

A brand new hair and beauty salon is due to open its doors for business at Tunstall’s Alexandra Park this week.

The new venture - called Cult Creatives - is the brainchild of Gemma Copestick, a talented freelance hair and beauty artist who also works as a tutor and assessor at Stoke on Trent College.

Gemma, aged 30, is well known in the area having worked for Toni and Guy before going into teaching, and as she currently spends her time assessing trainee stylists she certainly knows a thing or two about running a good salon.

Now she’s looking forward to realising a long held ambition of opening her own salon in a stylish 1,500 sq ft purpose built unit next to the DW Sports and Fitness Centre at Alexandra Park.

Mum of three Gemma, who also works as a freelance hair and beauty artists, said: “This really is something I have always wanted to do, I’ve got three children so life is very busy but now they are getting a little bit older it really seems the perfect time to open my own salon.

“When I saw this unit was available I could see what a great spot it was for a salon so decided to go for it. We’re in a great location and I’m just really excited now about taking our first bookings and opening up.”

Gemma is looking forward to offering a great range of treatments as well as hairdressing at her new Tunstall salon and there are already plans for a nail bar and beauty treatments. The salon is currently recruiting and it’s expected around seven new jobs will be created.

For more information about Gemma’s work visit her current website at www.bushhairandmakeup.co.uk.  Booking are already been taken through the salon’s facebook site at  http://www.facebook.com/CultCreatives or you can get in touch with Gemma on 0779 9146055.

Alexandra Park is owned by retail property specialists Dransfield Properties. Surveyor Amy Baldwin said: “We are delighted that Gemma and her team are opening a brand new salon at Alexandra Park.

“Gemma has got some fantastic fresh, new ideas for how the salon will look and we can’t wait to see it all finished and ready for opening.”

Cult Creatives neighbours the DW Sports Gym and store as well as Carphone Warehouse and is scheduled to be open to customers on Tuesday March 5th.
