14 September 2011

Sheffield University graduate Amy Baldwin has joined the growing team of surveyors at South Yorkshire based retail development specialists Dransfield Properties Ltd.

Amy has just completed a postgraduate MA in Commercial Property at Sheffield University following her BA in Town and Regional Planning and takes up her new post at one of the busiest times in the 19 year’s since DPL was founded.

Dransfield Properties specialises in stand along supermarket developments as well as Market Town and District Centre improvement and regeneration schemes - the company’s Sanderson Arcade development in Morpeth Northumberland was last year named Best Mixed Use Development in the UK Commercial Property Awards.

The company has also just started work on the second phase of the £40 million Lime Square development in Openshaw east Manchester and closer to home is part of the development team delivering plans for a new mixed use development on a former steelworks site in Stocksbridge, north Sheffield.

Amy, who is 22 and originally from Framlington in Suffolk, said: “After studying planning and commercial property for the last four years this is a great opportunity to apply what I have learnt and gain more experience in all aspects of the industry.”

Retail Property Director at Dransfield Properties, Andrew Malley, said: “We are delighted to welcome Amy and to be expanding our team here at Dransfield Properties. Amy is joining the team at a busy and challenging time with many new projects to be involved with.”
