Family run greengrocers launch new business at Selby’s Market Cross!
7 September 2011
Well known Yorkshire greengrocers R.K Harris and
Sons have taken a new store at Selby’s Market Cross shopping centre.
The family run company already has shops in Leeds
and has now expanded to Selby with its latest outlet at the busy town centre
shopping centre.
The new shop, based next to Santander and Jack
Fulton’s at Market Cross, was open for business at the beginning of September
and is already proving popular with Selby’s shoppers.
Partner Keith Harris said: “We have been really
busy since we opened and we are really pleased with how we’ve been received in
Selby.
"Our company has been going for 40 years and my father
and uncle first started the businesses up, it’s great to be continuing the tradition and opening a new store
here at Market Cross in Selby which is a lovely centre.
“It’s a really nice shop in a good location and
we’ve enjoyed putting our own stamp on it and making it ours.”
The new fruit and vegetable store covers 1283 sq
ft – this latest store opening at Market Cross is hot on the heels of Tickles -
the Gara Rufa Foot Spa which opened last month.
The centre is owned and managed by Barnsley based
Dransfield Properties, Development Surveyor David Hale said: “We are delighted
to be welcoming Keith and his team to Market Cross, the shop looks fantastic
and it’s great news that the first few days have been so busy. We wish them all
the very best in their new shop.”
Dransfield Properties is working on an ongoing
project of improvements at Market Cross including new traditional style shop
fronts and a new entrance feature which was unveiled earlier this year
