Stringers now open at Marshall's Yard, Gainsborough
Stringers Hairdressing opens at Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough this week (Thursday, 10 May), the company’s fifth salon in the Lincolnshire region.
Terry and Steven Stringer opened their first salon in July 1997 on Lincoln High Street with just two stylists and two trainees. They now have their own dedicated hairdressing training centre and more than fifty members of staff.
In March 1999 the high standards established at Stringers were formally recognised with the prestigious title of Nationally Approved Salon - the first and only award to be bestowed in Lincoln, and one of only three in the whole county. The Nationally Approved Salon Campaign (NASC) is a government-backed initiative to raise the already high standards of British hairdressing and is supported by some of the most recognised names from the world of hairdressing including Andrew Collinge, Umberto Giannini and Vidal Sassoon.
Stringers attribute their success to the high standards of the staff employed and put a lot of time, effort and expense into the training and development of the people who work with them. They deliver their own NVQs and have been awarded City & Guilds Approved Training Centre status.
Stringers have won the Lincolnshire Echo Salon of the Year Award for three years in a row. as voted for by readers.
Terry Stringer said: “Gainsborough has always been a target destination for us, as many of our clients were traveling from the town to our Lincoln salons to get their hair cut. Opening a new salon requires major investment and Marshall’s has provided the perfect location for us to deliver our expansion plans.”
