Florist opens stunning new stall at Five Valleys market

Nov 2020

Another great independent, local business, The Lily Pad Florist, has opened at Stroud’s Five Valleys indoor market this week.

Headed by Gemma Bowering the business has been based on Gloucester Street in the town for more than seven years with an occasional pop up stall at Five Valleys more recently.

Now Gemma and her team have opened a second store at Five Valleys in the town centre to join the growing number of businesses keen to be part of the centre’s new Borough Market style market which opened earlier in the summer.  The shop in Gloucester Street will remain open so customers have a choice as to where they would like to go for their floristry needs.

Gemma prides herself on providing a personalised service to all her customers. As well as wedding, special occasion and funeral flowers the Lily Pad Florist team also create stunning hand tied bouquets and have a fabulous variety of fresh flowers.

There is also an online service where the customer can order flowers for the same day or next day delivery in the Gloucestershire area.

The new Five Valleys stall can be found in a prominent position at the market next to the seating area. The Lily Pad joins a great line up at Five Valleys including Thai 2 Go, Callaghins Kitchen, Non Solo Italian and Pieminister.

Waghornes Butchers, Xocolatl and The Artisan Baker also joined the market line up this month and Pershores Fishmonger are also opening soon, adding to the great line up at the market.  .

Gemma said: “It is fantastic to see the transformation of Five Valleys and we are really excited to be a part of the new market.  This is such a good location to grow our business and we’re delighted to be here alongside so many other great local businesses.”

Louise Emery, Assistant Market and Tenant Liaison Manager at Five Valleys, said: “We are so pleased to be welcoming Gemma and her team to Five Valleys market and to have their stunning floral displays here at the centre. We wish them all the very best in their new location.”
