Popular Gainsborough salon relaunches in new location!

3 July 2020

The team at Stringers Hairdressing in Gainsborough are re-opening this weekend with a brand-new look and a new town centre location.

Headed by husband and wife hairdressing team Steve and Pippa Stringer the salon has now relocated from Britannia House at Marshall’s Yard to a newly refurbished unit on North Street. The new unit is part of the regeneration of the Market Street and North Street area of Gainsborough.

Along with hundreds of hair salons across the region Stringers will be permitted to re-open on Saturday July 4th and after spending the lockdown transforming their new salon Steve and Pippa can’t wait to unveil it to their customers.

Steve has been a hairdresser in Lincolnshire for more than 35 years with salons in Lincoln, Gainsborough and Newark focussing on creative and quality hairdressing. After a three-month lockdown break from work he can’t wait to get started again.

Steve said: “The lockdown has definitely been a bit of a rest for us, but it has also given us time to plan and to get the new salon just right for our clients. We’re really pleased with the location and the look of the salon and excited to open.”

The salon can be found next to Travelodge and The Forge Bar and Restaurant on North Street and is easily accessed from the Roseways Car Park.  The Forge also re-open on ~Saturday 4th July in line with the latest Government guidance.

Steve and Pippa have introduced covid secure measures in the salon including face visors and social distancing and are expecting a busy first few weeks back, with clients keen to book in for a post lockdown cut or colours.

Pippa said: “We are really looking forward to seeing our regular clients again here in the new    salon as well as meeting new clients.”

The North Street regeneration is headed by Dransfield Properties, the company also owns and manages Marshall’s Yard. The Stringers salon was a former tattoo parlour which has undergone a complete refurbishment.

Estates Surveyor Alisdair Gillespie said: “Stringers was one of the first businesses to open at Marshall’s Yard when the centre opened in 2007 and we’re delighted that they are staying in the town centre and launching their new businesses here.

“The salon looks lovely and we’d like to wish Steve and Pippa all the very best in their new loca-tion.”
