Five Valleys Team Select Their Artisan Market Line-up

The team at Stroud’s Five Valleys Shopping Centre have been busy interviewing this week to select the line-up of local artisans who’ll be part of the centre’s new Market Hall venture.
 
Butchers, bakers, coffee producers, cheesemongers and brewers are among the types of traders being targeted for the Borough Market style market which is being created at the new look Five Valleys development.
 
 Five Valleys is currently undergoing a major redevelopment and programme of investment. The work includes a complete refurbishment of the multi storey car park which now houses a stunning green wall which will be visible over the coming weeks as the scaffolding comes down on the Rowcroft Retreat elevation.
 
A key part of the improvements the centre’s Yorkshire based owners, Dransfield Properties Ltd have unveiled are the plans for a stylish, indoor “Borough Market” style area, showcasing the region’s best local producers and traders.
 
The shopping centre team are now interviewing traders who are keen to be part of this unique new venture which will launch in February 2020, creating a fabulous new market which will operate seven days a week, with locally sourced produce. 
 
The new market area will house 20 new, indoor, permanent market stalls which will be installed in the main mall area at Five Valleys and are being manufactured by the Borough Market specialists, Troax Manufacturing. 
 
Managing Director of Dransfield Properties Mark Dransfield said: “Interest has been incredibly strong from those wanting to be a part of this unique venture and we are very excited and looking forward to the launch early in the New Year.”
