The popular hair salon Hair Innovations – which has been part of Selby’s Market Cross shopping centre for more than 30 years – is relocating to a new prime location at the centre as part of a programme of investment at the centre.

The salon has a team of 14 and offers a wide range of hair and beauty treatments, for the last three decades it has been based in a first-floor unit at the busy town centre shopping destination.

Now owners Elaine Turner and Tracey Pears are relocating to a prominent ground floor unit opposite Costa Coffee as part of the improvements at the centre which will also create new high- quality town centre apartments.

The team are looking forward to welcoming clients old and new when they relaunch in the brand- new salon next month.

Their business has been trading from Market Cross in Selby for over 31 years and although they have a great following of loyal clients the owners are delighted to moving to a more prominent position at the centre.

With the move comes some exciting changes to the business with Hair Innovation becoming the only salon in Selby to use hair care range Neal and Wolf.

The brand of luxury hair care products, created by hairdressers for hairdressers, prides itself in being sulphate and paraben free, cruelty free and DEA and TEA Free producing brilliant results for every hair type.

As well as all aspects of hair care, the salon also offers a range of beauty treatments including microblading, Russian lashes, facials, pedicures, manicures and waxing.

Owner Tracey Pears said: “We really are hugely excited about our relocation and having a more prominent position and we are all looking forward to welcoming clients both old and new to our fabulous new look salon.

“The team has recently expanded with a further three new trainees joining us so that we can continue to offer an excellent service to all of our customers.”

The new salon is due to open in October. Alisdair Gillespie, Estates Surveyor at Dransfield Properties which owns Market Cross, said: “The closure of Santander earlier this year has created an opportunity for us to look at some careful asset management here at Market Cross and to create some really high quality town centre accommodation at the first floor.

“We’ll be creating new apartments where the hair salon currently operates from as well as above their new salon. We’re delighted that a company which has been such a part of Market Cross and Selby has this great opportunity to grow and expand at the centre.

“We also have some further exciting announcements regarding Market Cross that we’ll be making in the coming weeks.”
