Savers plans for spring opening at Lime Square

21 February 2019

The popular health, home and beauty chain Savers is opening a brand new store at Openshaw’s Lime Square shopping centre this spring.

The new 3,347 sq. ft. store will be located in the former Matressman unit at Lime Square which is now being subdivided to create two new retail units at the busy east Manchester shopping centre.

Both full time and part time jobs are being created and the new store is scheduled to open later in the spring.

Savers prides itself on offering fantastic deals on a wide range of top quality brands. Founded in 1988 the company opened its first store in Durham and now has more than 400 across the UK and employs over 3,000 people.

The Sunday Times recently recognised the fantastic career path that Savers offer by naming the chain as 7th in the prestigious annual ranking of the UK’s top 25 big companies to work for.

Lime Square is home to a retail line up including Morrisons, The Range, Wynsors Shoes and B&M Bargains as well as food to go outlets and coffee shops including Costa Coffee and McDonalds. The centre’s Gym Group gym has also recently undergone a major refurbishment.

The centre is owned and managed by Dransfield Properties Ltd. Estates Director, James Shepherd, said: “Savers is a great addition to Lime Square and we are delighted to be welcoming another fantastic company to the line-up, bringing another great reason to shop at the centre.

“We are creating two new units in the former Mattressman unit and will be making a further announcement very shortly about the company occupying the second new unit.”
