Crowds turn out to welcome The Range to Lime Square
The UK home, leisure and garden retailer, The Range, opened its brand new Openshaw store on Good Friday with hundreds of shoppers queuing up to take advantage of the stores special opening offers.
The store is located within the existing Morrisons store in Lime Square, which has recently undergone a makeover, creating the space for the new 21,000 sq. ft. store.
20 full and part-time jobs, from store to department managers and warehouse assistants to retail administrators have been created at the new store and the Lord Mayor of Manchester Cllr Eddy Newman met the team and officially opened the new store with a special ribbon cutting.
More than 200 people turned up to see the store opening – the first shopper through the doors was given a bike and others were treated to special goody bags and offers to mark the opening.
The store’s mascot also made an appearance as well as the team from Key 103 who provided entertainment.
The Range is recognised for offering high quality products across a variety of departments, all at great prices.
Chris Dawson, the owner and founder of The Range said: “Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and Openshaw is no exception. Although it is a new concept of store for us, I am certain that we will be able to provide our customers with an equal offering to other new stores.”
Lime Square is owned and managed by the Yorkshire based retail property specialists Dransfield Properties Ltd.
