Coca Cola Truck visits DPL centres in the run up to Christmas
The iconic Coca-Cola truck stopped at three of Dransfield Properties' shopping centres this year as part of its annual nation-wide tour.
Sandersons Arcade in Morpeth teamed up with the Town Team to stage a town centre event over two days.
From Thursday 16th-Friday 17th November the truck was sited in Morpeth town centre, reaching a record breaking footfall count through the Arcade over the two days.
Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough was the 2nd of the company’s shopping centres to welcome the truck with a visit which took place on Thursday 23rd November.
The centre saw a huge 6,900 people visit the Coca-Cola truck where visitors took selfies and received free cans of Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero.
The tour of the Dransfield sites finished with Fox Valley, North Sheffield on Tuesday 28th November where more than 7,000 visitors enjoyed the experience.
Each centre’s event was also accompanied by live entertainment, children’s rides and Christmas-themed markets.
Retailers and eateries across the centres reported excellent trade feedback whilst customer engagement on social media platforms on the run up to the events more than doubled.
Dransfield Properties Operations Director, Medi Parry-Williams, said: “It has been wonderful to welcome the Coca-Cola truck to three of our centres; it was so well received by everyone who visited in Morpeth, Gainsborough and Fox Valley.
“It is something which certainly attracts the crowds and our teams across the centres did a great job of managing the events – we certainly hope they’ll consider visiting again next year and are already looking at how we can build on the event.”
