The centre manager of the award winning Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, Medi Parry, has been promoted to a head office role at Dransfield Properties in a brand new position as Operations Director.

Medi will oversee operations across the £130 million Dransfield portfolio of high quality shopping and mixed use centres across the UK -  including Fox Valley in north Sheffield which just last month hosted the finish of the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire.

The new role will involve ensuring the smooth running of operations, events and management across the company’s centres which also include Marshall’s Yard in Gainsborough, Lime Square in Openshaw, east Manchester and Market Cross in Selby.

Dransfield Properties has also just submitted plans for a new local centre at Waverley in Rotherham and the company is working on a mixed use project in the London borough of Newham.

33-year-old Medi, who was named Centre Manager of the Year in the 2013 Sceptre Awards, will be based at the company’s Fox Valley head office. She has worked on the centre management teams at both Marshall’s Yard and Sanderson Arcade.

Medi is also a director of the company’s property management firm GVFM and her new role earns her a place on the main Dransfield Properties board.

Medi has just played a key role in delivering the successful finish line event for the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire at Fox Valley.

Managing Director of Dransfield Properties, Mark Dransfield, said: “Medi has shown real ability and leadership in all the roles she has taken on since joining Dransfield Properties in 2009.

“Delivering a complex event like the Tour de Yorkshire on one of our centres takes a great deal of experience and knowledge and Medi has demonstrated she has both. This promotion is very well deserved.

“The company has grown over the last five years and having an experienced member of staff to oversee operations across our centres is absolutely key to continuing to deliver great events – as well as keeping up the high standard of customer service that we pride ourselves on at Dransfield Properties.’’

Medi said: “I am delighted to be taking on a new role at Dransfield Properties and playing an instrumental role in the company’s growth and continued good reputation in delivering high quality retail environments for our customers and tenants.

“This is an exciting time for Dransfield Properties – we will be on site with a number of new projects which will expand the company’s portfolio as well as bringing forward new initiatives to drive footfall at our existing centres.”

Dransfield Properties celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The company was founded in 1992 by Mark Dransfield. For more information about the company visit www.dransfield.co.uk
