Doors open at Selby’s new Costa

Costa – the nation’s favourite coffee shop brand – has opened the region’s newest store at Selby’s Market Cross shopping centre.

The new Costa Coffee has been built over two floors in a brand new 2,246 sq. ft. unit which has been created at the shopping centre as part of a major £250,000 investment at Market Cross in the town centre. 

Up to ten new jobs have been created at the new coffee shop which is the first of a new concept store to be unveiled in the region with a fresh new design and look.

The Costa Coffee store can be found at the New Lane entrance to Market Cross and is being run by one of the company’s franchise partners, Fieldrose Ltd.

A spokesman for the company said: “We are delighted to have opened our new store in Selby, it has already been extremely well received and we have had some great feedback from our customers about the look and feel of the coffee shop.”

Management surveyor at Dransfield Properties, James Shepherd, said: “We are delighted to be working with Costa Coffee to deliver their new coffee shop in Selby. We have worked with the company in a number of locations in other parts of the country and the new coffee shop is already proving to be an extremely popular addition to our Market Cross centre."
