Easter fun at Sanderson Arcade as the centre welcomes its newest store!

Sanderson Arcade’s newest business - Pol Kefton Home - was launched at the weekend, with a fantastic day of foodie, family fun at the Morpeth shopping centre.

The crowds turned out for the unveiling of the new Morpeth homeware store which was launched by the award winning north east chef Terry Laybourne. 

The Pol Kefton team have spent the last few weeks transforming the former Wool Room unit at the centre into a fabulous new store. It has been finished in luxurious marble with two special kitchen islands – one for cooking demonstrations and the other created for customers to try out the fantastic range of soaps and home fragrances. 

The store also stocks a great range of high quality glasses, cutlery, pans and contemporary accessories and utensils as well as beautiful silverware.

The new store has a team of six members of staff who are working alongside the existing Pol Kefton team based at the 5,000.00 sq. ft. Northumberland kitchen and bathroom studio at Coopies Lane Industrial Estate in Morpeth.

Restauranteur Terry cut the ribbon at Pol Kefton Home and hosted cooking demonstrations throughout the day giving shoppers some top tips on how to prepare the perfect fish and steak dishes – rounding off the afternoon with a delicious raspberry soufflé.

Younger visitors were treated to an Easter Egg hunt, face-painting and cupcake decorating workshops as well as the chance to try out the Heart FM’s oversized deckchair and one lucky shopper – Kerry Dodds from Bedlington – won a fantastic £500 shopping spree. The event was hosted by Heart FM’s Kelly Scott and Tom Campbell.

Centre Manager at Sanderson Arcade, Medi Parry, said: “We are really pleased to have Chris and the Pol Kefton team here at the Arcade, the new store looks lovely and certainly brings something completely different to the centre.

“It was great to welcome so many visitors to Sanderson Arcade for the new store opening and for our Easter event. Footfall reached more than 12,000 throughout the day which is a 12 per cent increase on Easter weekend last year.”
