Market Cross Welcomes New Beauty and Fashion Store to Selby

A brand new beauty room and boutique has opened for business at Selby’s busy Market Cross Shopping Centre.

Andrea Tierney and Rebecca Johnston have taken a unit in the centre to launch Chique Beauty and Boutique,found between Brighthouse and Alexander Cards in the town.

The pair previously worked for Lemon and Lime at Market Cross and decided to set up their own business when the outlet closed earlier this year.

Andrea said they’re looking forward to welcoming customers to the brand new shop, which, as well as having a great range of fashion, handbags and accessories, will specialise in treatments including nails, spray tanning, facials and pedicures.

The last two weeks have been spent transforming the new unit ready for opening.

Rebecca added: “It’s been a hectic past few weeks to get the unit ready for trading, but we are delighted with the new beauty room and shop. Selby needs a stylish boutique and beauty salon. With our exciting range of women’s clothing and beauty treatments, we believe we can provide that.

“We will be offering a full range of treatments, including facials, waxing, spray tans, eyebrows, eyelashes and nails, and we are looking intosome more specialised treatments we can offer on a regular basis. There will be plenty of special offers and promotions.”

Market Cross is owned and managed by Barnsley based Dransfield Properties Ltd. This latest new opening leaves the centre fully let.

The company’s development surveyor James Shepherd, said, “We wish Andrea and Rebecca all the best in their new venture. They’ve got some great ideas and we’re confident they’ll do well at Market Cross.

“We have had a few changes over the last couple of months and we are delighted the centre is trading so well and is now fully let.”
