Ladbrokes Joins Line up at Selby's Market Cross

15 December 2010

Ladbrokes has joined the line up of tenants at Selby's town centre Market Cross Shopping Centre.

The British based chain of betting shops has taken the unit previously occupied by Ingles the Greengrocer - the company moved into a newly fitted out unit at the centre earlier this year.

Ingles relaunched in its brand new premises in October after a shop fit inspired by the Mary Queen of Shops TV show.

And this week Ladbrokes opened after work was completed on the company's brand new shop front and fitting out at the new outlet.

The new Ladbrokes store covers around 1100 sq ft and the remodelled, traditional shop front is part of a programme of investment at the centre.

Fashion, beauty and home accessories chain Lemon has also just opened at the centre and the company is due to officially launch the new store in the next few weeks, and Grainger Games also joined the tenant  line up earlier this year with other tenants renewing their long term leases.

Market Cross is owned by Dransfield Properties Ltd, Development Surveyor David Hale said the company is working on a programme of improvements including some new shop fronts and new branding and signage.

David said: “We are really pleased to be welcoming Ladbrokes to Market Cross and that the centre is trading so well. Our programme of improvements is well underway at Market Cross and we have some more exciting changes to come in the New Year."
